@FruitnVeggie@philclarke0170 I thought Crama was probably our best player, Luongo probably run him close.
Everything isn’t about the standard those two are playing, we look lacking in leadership and I don’t think the replacements have brought it yet. We look like we are missing it somewhat
@MartinHayes1962 Ok just badly punctuated and fair enough! Definitely need help centrally, Luongo has been good but is probably doing more than he was brought in to. We need CDN and Billy back to ease things a touch.
@MartinHayes1962 Billy is not league one, that is an embarrassing statement.
Luongo has been fine, he’s been a very decent acquisition.
The underlying problem is we don’t have enough on field leadership. No one grabbed that game by the balls earlier.
@philclarke0170 You can’t replace that sort of experience with pure youth. Much as I agree with trying to bring the squad age down and injecting some youth. We still need standard bearers and I didn’t see any on the pitch today.
@philclarke0170 The decision not to find a proper right back is strange at best. Only at Millwall should our best CB be at RB as we don’t have any better options. Injuries have hurt us massively for now but things will improve with a couple of reinforcements and some back after the break.
@philclarke0170 Broadly agree. I think perversely that low release figure backfired for him.
If I wanted to buy something and the price looked way to cheap, I probably wouldn’t get it. I’d think what is wrong with it.
Good deal for the club, v good player I think we will cope ok without him
@AchtungMillwall What has surprised me about this is how anti my kids have been to the idea of it.
I know as fans we don’t ‘own’ the club but we ‘are’ the club for better or worse. Not the Millwall I know would take on a whole new meaning and the club as we know it would imo shortly be dead.
@AchtungMillwall He’s doing well tonight. Cundle on loan from wolves. Saville confused with de Norre and Ivanovic a big target man who loves a long ball 🙄 it’s a footballing educational
@Livermore8@PowleyJacob I saw reports on playing style at Stoke and Sunderland and it was very encouraging. Well organised, pressing at the right times, turning the ball over high. I think he would be a good choice. More experience than the others and something to prove after Stoke (who doesn’t)
The managers being touted are about our level. As Harris said get behind them and let’s get on with the season.
We have a really decent squad with solid characters and some talent to it. We just can’t allow ourselves to enjoy or appreciate anything.
I have to say if Ian Holloway was to become the next Millwall manger I would renew my season ticket. I honestly don’t know who the hell we think we are sometimes. Neil is competent and underrated imo, Schumacher if we were getting him direct from Plymouth we would be ecstatic.
@philclarke0170 The worry is If the whole back room team move on. Also looking at a lot of the seniors out of contract, that would be the spine of the club gone since summer 2024.
That’s potentially way too much change to be managed in 12 months sensibly imo.
