@HannahWardEdu Awesome! Thanks for the clarification…so excited for taking the first steps on this journey! My littles are only 3 and 2 so taking it slow, but they are already so excited to do “school papers” from your site :)
@felixrieseberg@dreamofabear That's fair! And yeah it's good to know how that works. Personally, I used it as a way to save on cost by doing an initial planning step with Opus for example and then switching to Sonnet for execution. So no frequent toggles, just one switch early in the convo.
@HannahWardEdu I just started this with my three year old…she loves it so much we have to do more than one per day! Little brother loves to play along too :) thank you so much for making this free!
I need people to understand how difficult it is to get an NIH grant. You spend months writing a proposal, following strict guidelines that include a detailed multiyear budget, bios of everyone on your team, plans for participant safety & ethical conduct. Then you send it off -1/n
Making a new start is never easy, but I’m so grateful for the #ChemTwitter and #highered communities here…even though I’m pretty quiet, just being here and being able to learn from so many amazing educators has been invaluable in this transition! Hope that can always continue!
I was also super fortunate to have found a position at the Interamerican University of PR! Despite the big leaning curve of teaching in Spanish, I’m really grateful for the opportunity to keep teaching GenChem and OChem to these super bright, resilient, and kind students!

July is Disability Pride Month and once again it is not trending anywhere and companies are ignoring it but again happy disability pride month to all 1.5 billion disabled people and everyone else!

I saw a lot of the same communities benefitted this year by having lecture videos! I could also then devote more time to student questions and problem solving. Especially with the Omicron spike, it was invaluable to not have to do individual accommodations…the videos were there!
Academic friends — a 🧵about recording lectures.
This semester, for the first time ever, I used “lecture capture” to record the lectures for my large undergraduate class, and I posted the recordings to our course Canvas site. 1/x
@thepinogallery@AcademicChatter I was struck by how much of your story resonated with me. I was also in a dark place through much of grad school…it’s sad to think how many of us go through this thinking we’re alone
@thepinogallery@AcademicChatter Thank you so much for sharing your story! I’m so happy you’re in a better place now mentally and were able to get the help you need and deserve. I really hope it can help others find their way too!
