*NBA–AGC 2026 RECAP| OPENING CEREMONY*

The *66th Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference* officially opened in Port Harcourt a week ago, bringing together members of the Bar, the Bench, policymakers, business leaders and distinguished guests from across Nigeria and beyond.

The Opening Ceremony featured a powerful line-up of moments, including a keynote address by *George Weah*, former President of Liberia and global football icon, who brought a unique perspective on **leadership, service, resilience and nation-building*.

The Conference was formally declared open by *His Excellency Siminalayi Fubara, Governor of Rivers State*, setting the tone for a week of important conversations on the future of the legal profession and Nigeria.

The ceremony also marked a significant moment for the NBA as *Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN*, delivered his final Opening Ceremony address as the *32nd President of the Nigerian Bar Association*, reflecting on his tenure, the progress made and the responsibility of the Bar to continue shaping the nation’s future.

With other distinguished speakers and leaders adding their voices to the occasion, the Opening Ceremony set the stage for a week of *ideas, leadership, professional engagement and national conversations.*

The family does not need the deceased person’s PIN to legally access the money. In fact, they should not try to guess or use the PIN.

The money becomes part of the deceased person’s estate, and the bank normally releases it to the legally authorised representative.

Things the family of the deceased should do!

1•Obtain relevant court grant
2•Present the grant to the bank
3•Notify the bank of the death.

The important thing is proving the person’s death and establishing who legally represents the estate.

When physical intimacy is on pause, you’re forced to see your partner clearly. It removes the easy "glue" and tests what’s actually underneath.

Without sex blurring your judgment, the real questions get answered:

• Do we actually enjoy each other's personalities?
• How do we handle conflict when we're upset?
• Is there real substance here, or just chemistry?

From a Catholic perspective this isn't about restriction, it is about protection.

Lemme outline why it matters:

1. Chastity creates freedom. It stops two people from accidentally using each other for physical pleasure, allowing them to love each other as actual human beings.

2. Sex is a total gift. Intimacy says "I give all of myself to you forever." Keeping sex out of dating keeps your actions aligned with your current reality until full commitment is made.

3. Building Agape over Eros. Passion (Eros) is great, but self-sacrificing love (Agape) is what survives hard times. Pausing the physical forces you to build selfless love first.

If a relationship can't survive without sex, it wasn't going to survive with it anyway. You don't have to agree with what I say, but I don talk wetin Mother Church talk and I accept it.
