It's an apt fable. Maybe the 1st time you've been honest in your career as a politician.

An old RINO wants to cross a river but cannot swim, so it asks MAGA to carry it across. MAGA hesitates, afraid that the old RINO might stab it in the back, but the old RINO promises not to, pointing out that it would drown if it killed MAGA in the middle of the river. MAGA considers this argument sensible and agrees to transport the old RINO. Midway across the river, the old RINO stabs MAGA in the back anyway, dooming them both. MAGA asks the old RINO why it struck despite knowing the consequence, to which the old RINO replies: "I am sorry, but I couldn't help myself. It's my character."

P.s. MAGA lived, the old RINO drowned.

TEXAS SENATE RACE: Ken Paxton won 252 counties out of 254 with Cornyn only winning Travis County (Austin) and tiny Kenedy County (winning just 6 out of 8 votes). Cornyn and the Senate Republicans spent more money on this campaign than any other Senate campaign in history and lost by double digits. Imagine what the GOP could have done with that money in the 12 House toss-up seats. Embarrassing hubris on display in Texas - shame on you Cornyn, shame on you Thune.

If the Talarico chances increase with a Paxton primary win that would mean that the Cornyn supporters are not planning on voting for Paxton. Cornyn’s supporters would rather give the democrats a win rather than a GOP Paxton. Sad!
