@RichNice2k1@Raywin@TXForever49 It’s also a bit of a false narrative. Look at any large crowd shot of the game. For every Knicks fan, there are 9-10 Spurs fans. It could have been a lot worse. The Knicks fans were loud, but outnumbered by a dominant margin.
@Raywin@RichNice2k1@TXForever49 Does 5x face value prices sound friendly? Imagine having 4 tickets that are usually $100 a piece are now $500. And you have to go several times. Do you think average fans are making 5x on resale markets? Those markets take a large cut as middlemen.
@RichNice2k1 Again, this is something in literally do. Look at prices on Ticketmaster for game 5. Spurs get a cut from Ticketmaster. Hence why it is “authorized”
@RichNice2k1@TXForever49 Yes. But Ticketmaster is an authorized platform. Look at the prices on TM 4 game 5. TM has a location filter to 150 miles from SA. it’s easy for them to bi-pass or get a friend to buy, you can flip them on the authorized site for a lot! Spurs get a cut from TM
@RichNice2k1@TXForever49 I am a season ticket holder and attended the game. So yeah, I know a little about it. 😂 Knicks fans could get above 10 percent of the crowd. And they usually travel very well! $100 tickets are now $500, parking price doubled concession prices through the roof. Adds up
@RichNice2k1@TXForever49 Why call out fans for selling marked up tickets, when the Spurs will do the same thing if season ticket holders opt-out of their inflated priced tickets? Most SA STHs aren’t rich, the owners who do the same thing are rich. I don’t understand the hate on the fans.
@TXForever49@RichNice2k1 Right! If they would just opt-out and let the Spurs ownership sell to Knick fans. How dare the fans try and recoup the sky high prices that were dropped on them by the org. Betrayal! Why can’t they just fork over whatever the Spurs ask for? Do they not care about enriching them?
@CTtheMicSlayer They travel well. But I was surprised there weren’t more Knick fans. This is the Finals. I thought they’d be like 20 percent. It was 90% Spurs fans. This could have been a lot worse.
@JeffGSpursZone What would you estimate? 8-10 percent, at best? People are acting like the Knicks had a majority. Look at any crowd view of the game. Spurs fans should be proud of how many showed up.
@rafiki8675309@samborghiniz They have every right to sell them. If you don’t want to price your fans out of their tickets, don’t raise them as much. Knicks filled like 10 percent of the building. It’s completely fair to sell some and attend some. It’s not a rich market. Thankfully more people didn’t sell.
@samborghiniz@rafiki8675309 Those assholes are paying thousands to attend playoff games. Merch, parking, food & drinks all skyrocket in the playoffs. Spurs know damn well most STH can’t afford to pay 5x face value for 3-4 games. But many idiots blame the fans rather than the org, so you make it easy on them
@EricSal_7 Early in the season they would let the hot hand cook in the 4th no mater who it was. As the games got bigger, Mitch has put his trust in Fox, who is a very smart vet and clutch. But he couldn’t hit anything yesterday, and Harper was a problem for the Knicks. I hope he learns
@ececiz210@Marcus8214@JeffGSpursZone Spurs are charging season ticket holders 5x regular season prices for the finals. Parking, drinks, and merch prices shoot up too. I know so many of these people and they can’t afford to go to 3-4 of these games. They have to sell half or most of the tickets.
