@macastel3 They often say they don’t take foreigners in order to avoid possibility of an error, but they definitely take anyone. Unfortunately, it requires an extra step in calling the local PSB with the hotel’s information who will then be contacted and required to take your passport.
@macastel3 Ran into this problem over the summer. System in place isn’t well designed to take foreign passports. They have to manually enter information — as opposed to automatically scanned Chinese residency cards — which leaves them open to errors and possible fines/penalties.
