Today is going to be special for Dan Fiorito.
The #Yankees coach grew up a fan of the team in Yonkers, went to Fordham Prep & Manhattanville College, signed with NY as an undrafted free agent, and made it to Triple-A before working his way up the coaching ranks.
Now, he's a big leaguer in his own backyard.

@mccuskeyforwv@TheDemocrats If you’re gullible enough to call anyone with a smart phone a “journalist”, I’m not sure educating others is your strong suit. You have shown no moral courage to criticize one of the most corrupt and evil administrations in a long time, but attack one mayor. Show some backbone.
@JeremiahDJohns@SamoBurja The ability of the Right to continually create victimhood narratives while holding nearly all the levers of power is impressive.
@ZaidJilani@spitta419 I don’t recall that being a core focus of Obama’s campaign in a way that right-to-work was in Hawley’s initial campaign. Also, have minimum wage increases ever been underwater? They’ve always had broad support. His actions on tight votes, like McFerran, speak volumes.
@HuffmanJE@Kenwardjr It really demonstrates your values more than anything else that you equate buying access to politicians to funding investigative journalism.
@InsanityTalking@orrinknox@R0ssGA@Geiger_Capital One of the most confidently illiterate things I’ve read, but a fitting display name for someone too cowardly to share their real name.
Driving up demand and liquidity is not somehow immune to inflationary effects. The new supply doesn’t disappear once the economy recovers.
@InsanityTalking@orrinknox@R0ssGA@Geiger_Capital The first part isn’t true. But the problem is you don’t even know the extent of the “prints”. It’s pretty clear what year drove inflation from a monetary policy standpoint.
@BakeK82@chubakueno@EtiolatedLimb@Austen@ArmandDoma Reading comprehension, please. Dude above made bad attempted own of GDP by failing to acknowledge value added. Where do you think the people who work at the parks live? They’re pretty direct participants, chief. I don’t buy all second order effects, but multiplier is clear here.
@chubakueno@EtiolatedLimb@Austen@ArmandDoma Are we now in the phase where conservatives are arguing that high GDP multipliers and generating local economic activity are bad? You both generated market value in your example.
@matthewstoller@ZaidJilani How do you square this with his history of supporting RTW and opposing McFerran and other pro-labor nominees? “For real” is awfully expedient.
