100 years ago today renown architect Antoni Gaudi was tragically struck by a tram while walking to church. Today his work adorns Barcelona and his legacy lives on in the current construction of his masterpiece Sagrada Famlia, the world’s longest running construction project.

Gun violence is the number one cause of death among children and youth in Cuyahoga County. Today is National Gun Violence Awareness Day. I’m proud of the work of our Office of Violence Prevention @CuyahogaCounty formed last year to lean in on this public health crisis.

Great to see the Phase 1 launch of the Scotland Cultural Garden 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 in the Rockefeller Park “Highlands” on East Blvd @CulturalGardens. More than 42 gardens line this national treasure with ten more planned & on the way. The world is here in #CLE. #PeaceThroughMutualUnderstanding

Today’s christening of the Puerto Rico marks the 10th tug built by Great Lakes Towing here in #CLE on the Old River Channel. Great to see this contribution to our NEO maritime economy. The next two tugs to be built will be electrically powered. Congrats to this 127 yr old company

@juenbug In fact yes. UH is the successor to Lakeside Hospital where WWI Lakeside Unit No 4 came fro . Dr Crile was the Chief Surgeon there. When he came home from WWI and aged out of UH he founded the Cleveland Clinic.

On this Memorial Day we remember the heroism of Lakeside Unit No 4, the first military expeditionary unit to enter WWI. They were the first unit in the country called to the battlefield. Their mission was to set up a hospital unit in France and they came from Cleveland Ohio. 🇺🇸

Great to be in the Heart of Highland Hills for the dedication of the Community Pavilion on Memorial Day. A nice touch was the table set for the soldier (all) soldiers who didn’t come home. A great event officiated by 27 year US Marine Veteran and now Mayor Michael Booker 🇺🇸
