@Jungle__Jay 40 is just the beginning for me. Your 30s are like your 20s but with money, and your 40s (so far anyway lol) are like you're 30s but with (some) wisdom.

@thesamparr I drove the Baja to Cabo from Portland, OR last year and lived there for 5 months. Rented a furnished apartment, all the material things I needed could fit in the back of my Tacoma. It was a most liberating experience.
@Rabadash2 I will say money isn't wealth, 100%. Assets are wealth. The billionaires and millionaires of the world don't have millions or billions of dollars just sitting around that are being hoarded, they own assets that are worth millions and billions of dollars. You're using one now.
The problem isn’t necessarily the tax in and of itself, it’s when taxes accelerate so quickly that people get pushed out of their homes, particularly older retirees.
Another consideration, why do Taxes just automatically rise relative to market value? Did the cost of the services the taxes pay for actually go up?

@TheAlphaThought Yes he should absolutely quit. He’ll eventually get bored of doing nothing then find something to do or create that he actually cares about.
It’s hard to find that if you don’t clear the slate and make room for something new to happen.
