I unironically LOVE that the DOOM Revelations cover art portrays the slayer as a massive, gorilla-like Barbarian chunk whose body is too big for his head.

Yet in the actual game he has a shredded God-Bod with emotional complexity expressed through his eyes and facial emotes.

A perfect character arc

Kratos had probably the best character arc in gaming. He started as a man consumed by vengeance but by the end of his journey he had finally taken responsibility for his actions and come to terms with his loss and grief. Watching him transform from a destructive God of War into a symbol of hope was incredibly powerful and inspiring. That's why GoW Ragnarok will always mean a lot to me.

Okay so I haven't seen anyone talk about this, some of the hit sfx are the Save the Earth ones.

It's very small evidence but it reinforces my hope that this game will eventually be a combination of all 3 games with all of the maps and monsters (maybe more).

Very cool choice to make Marok an apparent antagonist in DOOM Revelations, because we know that The Slayer (allegedly) does not kill him.

It’ll be interesting to see how this conflict plays out, and if he dies by Hell’s hand in this story or perhaps a future expansion.

Yes I know Doom Guy showed his face in the Doom 1 and 2. I was mainly referring to the 2016 game and onwards.

No face in 2016. You see it in Eternals DLC FULLY. Then you see it MORE in Dark Ages. I like that we're slowly getting more and more of his face. Wish Chief had this.
