After attending for only a few days I know this to be true. Summit equips students to defend the faith and their values. It helps us understand the biblical worldview with how it relates to politics, culture, and faith. From abortion, to gender, to the Old Testament, to the problem of evil, Summit covers it all! One set of topics includes going through all of the major worldviews like Islam, secularism, and postmodernism. Summit also brings in top notch speakers for each of the subject areas to speak to the students such as Dr. Myers, Sean McDowell, Alisa Childers, Christopher Yuan, Dr. Ingrid Faro, and so many more!

Some highlights so far have included hearing lectures from and meeting @christopheryuan, @alisa_childers, and @drjeffmyers. Each of the speakers had abounding insight, wisdom, and knowledge to share with the students. In addition, Summit offers an experience called “open forums” where students can ask the speakers any questions they want. Overall, the speakers invest in us in such intentional ways that I have really appreciated. One way that many of them do this is by having meals with the students. This helps them to be more personal and relatable.

Dad and Mom legally immigrated here in the 1960s literally penniless. They both worked their tails off…as we should. Dad got two doctorates while Mom worked minimum wage jobs to support her husband in school AND take care of two boys.

And most importantly, we all came to Christ’s here in America. I am so grateful for this country. Let’s stop apologizing that this isn’t a perfect country. Let’s just state the fact that this is the BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!
