Our 2009 fan film lurks here for Tolkien bookworms and indie filmmakers. A true labour of love, we had a blast visualising a few moments in Middle-earth. Extremely excited now to hear about the new official Hunt for Gollum film that will be made!

@MGMarano Ah - if they hadn’t already got one of the most appropriate directors imaginable, (Gollum himself!) I’d say ‘why not’. 🤣 You’re a kind fellow, thanks for watching.
The @nytimes have a lovely write up of the renewed interest in our fan film #ThehuntforGollum Pleasure to speak to @Stefano_Montali about it all https://t.co/OVD7oifrmd

@DiscussingFilm We're the makers of this fan film and are feeling a bit sad to see it taken down. Hopeful this was a knee jerk reaction though, and it might be allowed to keep roaming the net in future... A labour of love project by fans for fans that it was :)
@ClaysCourt Thanks for the support @ClaysCourt & all here, from the team who made it, means a lot. ❤️❤️ (Ps We are enquiring gently via YouTube in case it can be reinstated, in the spirit of openness, non profit film etc… let’s see
We’re a bit surprised to see our film got blocked from YouTube, hope temporarily - we’re enquiring in case it can be reinstated as it’s clearly a non profit homage/fan effort. ❤️

@AndyBobMckee Thanks for sharing. Totally agree this is the only and best way to cut drama, esp when shooting lots of takes, including improv/off script!
When you're hired to write a feature, you usually get 12 weeks contractually to turn around the actual draft.
Here's my typical timeline of working on a project from start to finish which, as you'll see, can be somewhat atypical!
New interview about Welsh locations we used for #thehuntforgollum back in 2007! And some thoughts on Rings of Power. :) @LOTRonPrime@theoneringnet @ringswrapup https://t.co/I7UOVLE3RC
