@Vimeo Thank you so much for fixing the video naming to keep "." on upload. Every video I post uses a #.# naming convention and that small change will save me a manual step on every single upload. Thank you!

About to listen to #HelloInternet #100 on a plane!!! I'm very excited about this @BradyHaran . Thanks for the many many many hours of entertainment, and congrats on the milestone. (I really hope Grey doesn't end up saying that milestones are silly.)
Yes!! @Frame_io drops a sneak peek at all the new features coming out later this summer and they're π₯π₯π₯Sign up for early access! https://t.co/pckRx7hgFK (This is my favorite pre-fab tweet ever. Nice work, Frame!)
A few hours in and I'm more comfortable with the EVA-1, but it's just not as user friendly as the FS5. I went into both cameras blind, and by this point with the FS5 I was super comfortable and hadn't googled anything. I've already needed to check the EVA-1 manual 3 times.
I have an FS5 and an EVA-1 in my possession right now. I was so excited about the EVA, but unfortunately I'm not impressed in person. But the FS5 - WOW!! Amazing camera.
Resolve continues to win my heart. I'll be editing, and I'll wonder what a shot might look like with a certain grade, so I'll click color, play around, and then go right back to editing. It's not like I didn't have similar tools in Premiere, but it just seems to work better here.
Finally getting down to some actual editing. ctrl+= and ctrl+- zoom in and out on the timeline. Might remap to remove ctrl more like Premiere. Shift+z zooms to view full timeline.
The Decklink mini monitor is really impressive. I'm on my FSI BM210 and I'm switching between decklink SDI and GPU DVI and I can totally see the difference. Way better color and range with the decklink, especially in the blacks.
Thanks to the support team @Blackmagic_News - It took a few minutes but we did some troubleshooting and everything seems to be working just great now. We adjusted a few settings but it might actually boil down to a faulty SDI cable. Time will tell.
Spoke too soon, maybe. Decklink output video still seems to drop out for no reason sometimes, then comes back a minute or two later with error frames. Need to dial this in. May contact @Blackmagic_News support soon.
A few ghosts in the machine later, I seem to have gotten the @Blackmagic_News Decklink mini monitor 4K up and running. I downloaded the most current Desktop Video Setup app and set the output to 1080p24. (Default was psf and that had probs.) Full vid on second screen now.
The biggest setting that took an extra minute to figure out was how to separate SDI audio to play through system speakers. Under Davinci Resolve > Preferences > System > Video and Audio I/O you can choose "Use System Audio Output".
Got the Decklink mini monitor 4K installed. Took about a half hour of adjusting settings and restarting, but I now have full-screen output to my FSI BM210 while editing and coloring in Resolve. Great start!
I just discovered the take selector, which lets you stack multiple takes in the timeline for easy review. This is a feature I remember being intrigued by in the original FCP X, but I never spent much time in that program.
