MURRAY WATER SYSTEM UPDATE: The Murray Water System has lifted the boil water order that was in affect for all customers on Hwy 94 East, from Pottertown Road, to Old Newburg Road. This includes customers on Irvin Cobb Road, and Grove Lane.
This order shall remain in effect until further notice. Customers in this area will be notified by the Murray Water System when the order is lifted. This boil water order is due to Fire Hydrant Damage in that area.
MURRAY WATER SYSTEM NOTICE: The Murray Water System has issued a boil water order effective immediately for all customers on Hwy 94 East, from Pottertown Road, to Old Newburg Road. This includes customers on Irvin Cobb Road, and Grove Lane.
Water should be brought to a full, rolling boil for at least 5 minutes to ensure it is safe for consumption. Boiled water may be stored at room temperature or refrigerated in a closed container until needed.
In case of any discoloration, customers should allow their cold water to run for a few minutes to clear. However, the washing of clothes should wait until flushing is completed and the water has cleared.
PUBLIC NOTICE: The City of Murray Water System will be flushing fire hydrants Saturday, May 17, 2025. Crews will begin flushing around 7:00am and will finish for the day around 3:30pm.
Operations Notice: The City of Murray Transfer Station is temporarily closed this morning (Thursday, May 1st) due to a fire last night. We will reopen as soon as possible.
Water System Notice: On Wednesday March 26th, City of Murray Water from 2880 St. Rt. 94 East to the end of the line, will be under a Boil Water Order until further notice due to a water main break. This will include all side roads and subdivisions on the city water system.
Boiled water may be stored at room temperature or refrigerated in a closed container until needed. Questions regarding this notice should be directed to Murray Water System.
Weather Update: Providing that weather and road conditions do not seriously degrade tonight, todayβs recycling and residential sanitation service routes will be ran tomorrow, Thursday, Feb 20th. Thursday's sanitation routes will be picked up on Friday, Feb 21st.
Weather Notice: All sanitation collection services have been suspended today (Feb 19, 2025) due to hazardous winter road conditions. We are in communications with our service provider, but a recovery plan has not been finalized as of yet.
