1/7. Some notes on the election.

There were 3 key themes, confirmed by exit polls
1. immigration
2. inflation
3. abortion

Trump had an advantage on 1 and 2. It is fair to blame the Harris campaign, but it seems very likely to me that any democrat would have lost.

In an age where technology shapes every aspect of our lives, how can young voters leverage it to enhance democracy?

In Africa, the adoption of electronic voting is still in its infancy.

Namibia became the first country on the continent to implement electronic voting machines (EVMs) during its national elections in 2014.

This was driven by challenges in counting and tabulation processes in previous elections, aiming to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

South Africa and Kenya are also exploring technology's role in their electoral processes, with South Africa piloting Voter Management Devices in local elections.
