The whole course of [John] writing [1 John] is in a manner nothing else but a laying down of certain marks whereby we may examine ourselves and discern whether we have fellowship with God or not, whether we are in the estate of grace or not.
—John Cotton, Works 2:39
You need to write "I'm dead" letter. It should have:
1. Passwords
2. Account # for insurance policies, investment accounts, banks, etc
3. Contacts of CPA/FA
4. Will/trusts/biz docs
This will help your family capture all accounts during a stressful time.
Do it.
Tho’ conscious alas of so many & great deficiencies, & such sad Unprofitableness, yet casting myself on the promis’d mercy of God thro’ the Redeemer, I humbly hope for mercy & also for sanctifying Grace.
It is not the time of your entry into the Kingdom that matters but the fact that you are in the Kingdom. That is the thing that matters.
How foolish is it to mourn the fact that we were not in earlier, and to allow that to rob us of the things we might be enjoying now.

“The Word of God is like a lion. You don’t have to defend a lion. All you have to do is let the lion loose, and the lion will defend itself.” - Charles Spurgeon
"What is preaching? Logic on fire! Eloquent reason! A theology which doesn't take fire, I maintain, is a defective theology, or at least the man's understanding of it is defective."

In sharp contrast with the names of pagan deities, God's name is not a secret password for manipulating the cosmic forces. Rather, it is a personal and covenantal guarantee.
I believe that nothing is more often misdiagnosed than our homesickness for Heaven. We think that what we want is sex, drugs, alcohol, a new job, a raise, a doctorate, a spouse, a large-screen television, a new car, a cabin in the woods, a condo in Hawaii. What we really want is the person we were made for, Jesus, and the place we were made for, Heaven. Nothing less can satisfy us.
