Three years ago tonight I sat in an Ann Arbor hotel room watching the US lose to Japan in the WBC...I honestly didn't know if that was going to be the last baseball game I'd watch. I had an awake craniotomy in the morning to remove a cancerous brain tumor. I always get some rough anxiety on the anniversary of the surgery....i don't know if it's survivors guilt, fear of the unknown or what. I thank god every single day for giving me the opportunity to have more time with my wife and kids. Praying that tumor never comes back. I know everybody’s excited that we’re back in a Wild Card spot, but I still firmly believe this team can win the AL East. There’s a lot of baseball left to play, and this team is starting to find its rhythm.

College baseball feels like the last of the big NCAA sports where mid-majors have a chance to make some noise.
And that is why its stock is skyrocketing.
