Today, we remember Pat Summitt, a coaching legend and warrior who passed away at 64 after her courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Pat’s legacy isn’t just in her record-breaking 1,098 wins or 8 NCAA championships. It’s in the countless lives she touched along the way.

From iconic players like Candace Parker, Tamika Catchings, and Chamique Holdsclaw, to assistants like Nikki Fargas who became head coaches themselves, to young athletes inspired to chase their dreams, Pat was a mentor, a teacher, and a relentless force for greatness.

She influenced not only women’s basketball but the entire landscape of leadership and resilience, instilling values of hard work, integrity, and teamwork that continue to ripple through every program, every community, and every life she touched.

Pat Summitt’s spirit lives on in the players who wear her lessons on their sleeves, the coaches who carry forward her vision, and the fans who remember what she stood for: excellence, courage, and unyielding heart.
