There has only ever been 5 people in the History of College Baseball to hit 40 or more Homeruns in a single season.
1. Pete Incaviglia - OSU - 48 (1985)
2. Jeff Ledbetter - Florida State - 42 (1982)
3. Lance Berkman - Rice - 41 (1997)
T4. Brandon Larson - LSU - 40 (1997)
T4. Ryan Bradford - Johnson County - 40 (2026)
If @JCCCBaseball continues their season and go to the @JUCOWorldSeries it would be hard to say that the all time single season record wouldn’t be in play.
Blessed to announce my commitment to University of Maryland. Thank you to Coach Swope and Coach Jackson for this opportunity, my parents, and everyone who has supported and helped me get to this point. Go terps! 🐢 @JimmyJackson38@MattSwope19
But hitters still want to set up the pitching machine in the middle of the rubber.
McLean release is 3.5 feet from middle of the rubber.
Train hard so the game is easier.
PS- hitting is hard! LOL
@gritnj I promise you the last thing I’m doing is putting myself before any of my athletes so you trying to say I have my own agenda is extremely disrespectful. My job is to help kids get achieve their dream of playing college baseball and there is more to it than just hitting
@gritnj I can barrel a ball foul so that doesn’t really matter in terms of trying to get a hit. A majority of hitters aren’t hitting homers dead center so that barrel leads to outs for most guys. A different conversation can be about getting in the weight room so it can lead to hits
@GowagsKyle So train in uncomfortable positions sometimes (letting the inside pitch get deeper than normal). Because, would you agree that extension also allows you to get more hits?
