The Alton Towers website has been updated to add Spinball Whizzer to the February Half Term ride line-up!

Other updates have seen the removal of Sharkbait Reef’s actor-led ‘Secrets of the Smugglers’ overlay, and an increase in the short breaks starting price from £49pp to £61pp.

Alton Towers has updated its ride availability page, announcing that the Congo River Rapids will be closed from October 14th for the remainder of 2024 for winter maintenance.

Wicker Man has also been added as closed on October 1st & 2nd for maintenance.

100% agree with this! However Universal will be on their game with theming, Merlin need to step it up overall. Yes Nemesis Reborn was good, but Hyperia needed something too!

Merlin have been such a monopoly in the UK market for such a long time that they haven't needed to innovate or install better attractions.
With such a dominant force like Universal coming, its going to be interesting how they actually respond.

I can’t believe this is even a debate. It’s a new ride built on the structure of an old one. It has some things in common with the original, but it functions in a different way and has all new elements. It’s 100% a new cred. What do you all think? Vote in this poll.

aside from the fact it's the worlds tallest fastest longest blah blah there is genuinely nothing else about this ride that seems impressive? it's not because it's in saudi but the layout is just a bunch of big turns and hills 🤷‍♂️
