🇨🇳BREAKING: CHINA CONSIDERS RESTRICTING FOREIGN ACCESS TO ITS TOP AI MODELS
Alibaba, ByteDance and https://t.co/bC4AIIcdyD attended meetings with Chinese authorities about possible controls on overseas access to top-tier AI systems, per Reuters.
Sources said the rules are still under discussion and may only apply to future models.
The talks suggest China may treat frontier AI models like sensitive tech, similar to how the US restricts advanced AI chips.
Separately, sources say DeepSeek is developing its own AI chip and hiring chip-design engineers.
@Zac_labs i'm a native english speaker who became fluent in mandarin chinese, but if i were to hard on a third language it'd probably be arabic
massive market, wealthy people, and the challenge of learning a totally new script and even writing direction is pretty exciting!
announcing https://t.co/ABYbVwyopF, a ENS alternative forked from @z0r0zzz's wei(.)domains to be ownerless and unruggable. funds used to buy and renew domains are burned permanently to remain neutral. domains start from <$1 and .id.gwei domains are free. try it out!
Hey guys,
Does your AI ever straight-up lie to you — or just tell you what you wanna hear?
And when you call it out, it hits you with "I was just messing with you"?! 💀
Check what they have encountered👭👇
tradschool is officially cooked
universities in China are already letting students use phones and AI during exams 🤣

Searching for music in CapCut sucks, so i made my own search tool with Codex!
The main feature is filter by language (mando, cantonese, english, etc), something you can't do in Capcut AFAIK
This is one feature of the "CapCut Companion" app i'm making to edit videos with AI
CAPCUT + CODEX PRODUCTIVITY TIP
CapCut doesn’t let you copy/paste clips between projects.
Exporting works, but it flattens everything and loses the timeline metadata.
Here's where Codex shines. Just select the clip range, tell Codex the source + destination project
Then tell it to use Computer Use to verify the result, and go make a coffee.
Done.
We asked 50+ young people in China how they use AI.
A few things stood out:
- Coding without really knowing syntax?
- AI as the “fourth industrial revolution”?
- Which AI products are actually popular in China?
- Students using AI for papers, studying… even exams?
- Artificial intelligence, or artificial stupidity?
The answers were more nuanced than I expected.
They’re using AI heavily, but they’re also worried about hallucinations, shallow thinking, and losing their own voice.
Does this match what you’re seeing?
my new favorite AI workflow:
using Codex and iPhone Mirroring on macOS to control my phone
perfect for redundant tasks like iOS app testing, keyword research in apps like TikTok Studio
i hate using my phone so this is perfect for me
whats your favorite codex automation?
