Friday night, Gav went 0-1 with a hbp, and a ground out to third. On Saturday before his game, we challenged him to be intentional at the plate and to hit only oppo the rest of the weekend (showed him a text from @hittingguru7) The Kid said “I got this”….😳
Ya’ll… 3-6, a double, 2 walks, 3 rbis, and all 6 swings were hit oppo! If you know baseball you know how impressive this is for a 13 year old player ❤️❤️❤️
Love you G$. Keep believing in yourself kiddo 🥰❤️💙⚾️🥰
@louloularue2 Pretty nice weekend. We talked about being more intentional about what he’s doing when hitting, which increases focus. He challenged himself to hit only oppo Saturday and Sunday, and didn’t pull a single ball left of pitcher. Add 2 walks, a hbp, and 3 rbis. Good weekend
I could not be more proud of him. He’s kind and hard working. He’s humble and he is so incredibly smart.
7th grade has come to an end and he has maintained a 4.0 GPA and 4 more quarters of High Honor Roll. Even with all the Baseball and Basketball work, he never forgets what is most important to his bright future 📚
He’s the real deal! We love him so much! 💙⚾️❤️🙌
Oh MAN!!! The Kid had a day! I’m so proud of his fight! 5 for 7 on the day with a walk off triple and he was so good in the infield I’ll have to make a whole other post 😂❤️⚾️❤️
@YouthBallPOV@louloularue2 Fair question. Most of those kids have played rec. Only one child is 8, the rest are 6-7. It really is glorified rec at the moment, they only travel to 2 tourneys within an hour of home. Quite young, but love it, and will grow with the additional reps.
Wanna see how it’s done kids!? Last inning tie game bases loaded 3-2 count battling at the plate & walks it off with a Grand Slam!!!!He’s fired up inside & holds it all in to celebrate w/ his team. No throwing the bat, no flip, just straight professionalism! He’s 13! Luv it Gavin
@louloularue2 Big grand slam walk off. This is how it’s done, put your head down run around the bases and be a great teammate. I love this! Get excited but not stupid.
@THEandrew_ortiz@louloularue2 I don’t agree with your statement. Teaching your children to respect themselves and others is incredibly important. Showing up your opponent I don’t agree with. Hit an HR and act like you’ve been there before.
@kubball_fan@frankfracker@kutweetsandnews Different circumstances for Fred with Nebraska. Do some research about his family’s background in Lincoln, and you’ll understand. Can never say never, but highly unlikely Fred leaves Nebraska for anywhere else.
@nut_history While it is the responsibility of the head guy to know the situation, where were all the other people affiliated with USA baseball? Every single coach, staff member, etc. has some onus in this. Any one of them could have realized. 12U select dads would have been all over this.
@InhaledThePoint @CodyAIFanatic @GerryCallahan@grok I care that people are vetted when they come into the country. If immigrants were coming in legally, the percentage of violent immigrants entering would drop significantly from 14%. I’m all for immigration, but a certain vetting process is necessary
@InhaledThePoint @CodyAIFanatic @GerryCallahan@grok I watched the original post. Your response apparently was because you were claiming that the ice agent was lying about whom they were chasing being violent. All of which is irrelevant if they’re illegal. Deport em, let em enter legally. Carry on chief
@InhaledThePoint @CodyAIFanatic @GerryCallahan@grok Not a change in topic. Your point that they aren’t all violent is irrelevant. There are a lot of wonderful people here illegally. All of them need to go through the proper channels of legal immigration. Making this something else is, as you say, very on brand
@InhaledThePoint @CodyAIFanatic @GerryCallahan@grok This is an irrelevant fact to me. If they are here illegally, they should be deported, and allowed to immigrate into the United States through legal channels. Vetting immigrants before entry is incredibly important.
