Exciting opportunity at #lewishamhospital emergency department for an experienced emergency nurse or paramedic who loves them a bit of RESUS. https://t.co/m2xVGV39KO
@ICUltrasonica@RCollEM@ICS_updates FUSIC heart is a well established and effective programme. The RCEM subcommittee for ultrasound is just getting started, many more resources will be posted. Looking forward to getting the word out there for all specialties using POCUS on how we can progress.
@julietandphil @RichBreeze1 Chewie has similar qualifications and used to be a school dog. The wellness team at lewisham was key to making this happen, I think he has been lucky to have the right people fighting his corner.
@theBSNR This is unworkable and appears to show a lack of understanding of the effect of pretest probability and basic interpretation of diagnostic tests.
Strongly suggest you retract, review, talk to front line clinicians, discuss with someone who understands diagnostics and redraft.
Ultrasound has become increasingly embedded as a vital skill for front-line clinicians. This event will explore the applications of ultrasound that are of value in children and how ultrasound can be utilised in paediatric emergency patients.

Great case from @Bob_Holliman in SA. Young adult male presenting with 3 weeks increasing abdo pain. Jaundice & hepatomegaly on exam. No know PMHx. Recently moved from rural Eastern Cape. Answers on a postcard
@cephasplus@EveryOneNoOne1 Pocus can catch glimpses of Ao but not all. But this is point of care US and not diagnostic US you build your impression from pre-test probability /lab test (perhaps Ddimer) and POCUS. It may bring your suspicion down low enough to clinically exclude.
