This week, the TEMBO Africa consortium met in Delft, Netherlands, for its final General Assembly, with roughly four months left before project closure.
It was a moment to look back at four years of collaboration, and to look ahead at what comes next.

The goal was to strengthen real-time hydrometeorological monitoring for flood forecasting, reservoir inflow prediction, dam safety, and hydropower operations along the Tana River basin, with particular focus on flashpoint tributaries like the Thika and Thiba rivers.

Under the TEMBO Africa Project, KenGen, the Kenya Meteorological Service Authority (KMSA), and TAHMO have completed a joint site survey across the Seven Forks Cascade (Kenya's principal hydropower system),
Day 1 featured a hands-on Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Environmental Monitoring Workshop, bringing together experts from TAHMO, TU Delft, Rainbow Sensing, University for Development Studies (Ghana), and Kenya Meteorological Service Authority (KMSA).
