After six placings in a row Ischyros gets his breakthrough maiden victory at Bathurst today. The blinkers went on and the gelding attacked the line to win easily by 4 lengths. Thanks to Tom Kelly for his support and patience with this guy and of course Mathew Cahill for the ride.

Nick Heywood’s win on the Scott Collings-trained Mogo Magic in Saturday’s Highway was his first in a Highway since 2018, where he coincidently partnered with champion country galloper Handle The Truth, who at the time was trained by Collings in partnership with Keith Dryden.

Heywood could appreciate the similarities between his metropolitan wins for Collings and hopes to continue the success.
