A divisional anti-dengue meeting was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Lahore Division, Nauman Yousuf.A review of anti-dengue activities from January 1 to September 30, 2026, and the future course of action was conducted during the meeting.

Commissioner Lahore Nauman Yousuf visited Government Elementary Girls School Samanabad, Girls High School Shadman, and Wahdat Colony.He reviewed the ongoing development work aimed at improving school infrastructure. The CEO of the Education Authority Lahore provided a detailed briefing during the visit.
“New classrooms and additional washrooms are currently being constructed in 73 schools across Lahore.Chief Minister of Punjab is focused on promoting contemporary education and upgrading the infrastructure of public schools, stated the Commissioner Lahore.”

Emergency Evacuation / Safety Equipment and Fire Hydrants in Hospitals:
MOCK Exercise... Rescue 1122 and Hospital Administration Conduct Mock Exercise at Lahore General Hospital.
Commissioner Lahore, Nauman Yousuf, along with DC Lahore, Captain (R) Ali Ejaz, visited Lahore General Hospital.
Commissioner Lahore inspected the installation and functionality of fire extinguishing equipment in the hospital wards and corridors.
“On the directions of the Government of the Punjab, safety is being ensured in THQs, DHQs, and teaching hospitals”.
Rescue 1122 and the hospital staff demonstrated the practical extraction of dummy infants from the nursery ward to safety outside the hospital building during an emergency situation.

Commissioner Lahore Division Nauman Yousuf is continuing his visits to hospitals to review medical facilities, safety equipment, fire hydrants, and cleanliness arrangements. As part of these inspections, Commissioner Lahore Nauman Yousuf visited Sir Ganga Ram Teaching Hospital. He checked the fire hydrants, fire brigade vehicle accessibility, emergency exits, fire-extinguishing equipment, and overall cleanliness at the hospital. Officials from Rescue 1122, WASA, C&W, Civil Defence, and district officers accompanied him during the visit. Commissioner Lahore visited various departments of the hospital to inspect the installation, functionality, and cleanliness standards of the safety equipment.

He specifically checked the safety measures implemented for the Mother and Child Block as well as other departments. Additionally, the Commissioner Lahore visited the gynae ward, nursery, emergency, and male wards, where he inquired from the patients about the provision and quality of medical facilities.During the hospital visit, Commissioner Lahore Nauman Yousuf issued instructions to the district administration, Rescue 1122, and officers of other departments.

Mariamabad: Annual Pilgrimage of Holy Maryam; 3-Day Celebrations from September 4 to 6. 5 to 10 lac Pilgrims Expected
...Today Commissioner Lahore Nauman Yousuf and RPO skp range Athar Ismael visited Mariamabad and reviewed the arrangements for the three-day celebrations.
....According to the briefing, a 10-bed hospital, 4 Clinic-on-Wheels, and one field hospital are being established for the pilgrims.
......The administrators and pastors of the Holy Maryam Catholic Church expressed their satisfaction with all the arrangements.They organized a special prayer and prayed for the safety of Pakistan.
........On this occasion, the district administration and all relevant officers gave a briefing regarding the security and municipal arrangements for the annual sacred pilgrimage. And Member of the Punjab Assembly (MPA) Emmanuel Ather Julius provided feedback regarding the arrangements.

He stated that the teams must verify the functionality of safety equipment and also review the training provided for utilizing this equipment. Commissioner Lahore emphasized that teams must take into account all aspects regarding fire extinguishers, water bowsers, hydrants.
