Are constituency projects truly serving the people they are meant to help? Through the Deepening Citizens’ Interest in Government Spending - DeSPAAC, with support from MacArthur Foundation, our citizen-led tracking project in Kaduna State, we monitored 47 constituency projects worth $2.8 million using MonTrac, a platform we developed to track how these funds are nominated and spent.

Public spending must be transparent, accountable, and citizen-driven because these projects belong to the people who bear their cost.
