I've sometimes wondered what Twitter would look like if you took it out of the for-profit realm entirely. @nikkiusher fleshes that idea out a bit, and I like Nikki's New Twitter a lot more than what we have: https://t.co/R6OyZUhwX5
If you are a college student who likes to nod intently at your professors while they're talking in class, just know that all of them adore you and think you are the absolute greatest
They treat you bad because something is wrong with them on the inside, it's not you. Kind and compassionate people don't go around intentionally destroying others, they just don't.
Sleep deprivation kills compassion.
Without sleep, we can’t process emotional information. The parts of our brain where we feel empathy don’t work as well. If we look at MRI scans of people after a night of no sleep, they have far less activity in empathy parts of the brain.

A busy life is not a symbol of status. It's a symptom of trying to do too much for too many people.
A full calendar brings a surplus of stress and a shortage of energy. Reflecting and relaxing should be top priorities.
Unscheduled time isn't wasted. It's invested in well-being.
@amenanalhassan I took a peak at the student's who made the cut last year at the three universities that I applied for last year. Not one person looked like me. Young and white seems to be common. Not coincidence.
@pengpeng_xiao What I’m hearing is that PhDs are now inaccessible to students without lots of connections and without copious undergrad research experience. This is horrible for any hopes of diversity and inclusion in academia. 😔
