Did you know you can learn and "grow" at Copper Ridge? Thanks to our resident Gardner, Ms. Hubbell, our 5th graders spend the whole year tending to and learning about horticulture in our garden named after our Gardener (and former CRS teacher) Ms. Hubbell!

What a start to Teacher Appreciation Week! A huge thank you to our amazing PTO and office staff for keeping all our staff caffeinated and hydrated today.

NJHS students held a fundraiser in April to raise money to purchase bicycles and helmets to donate to the Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children. Today was their field trip to deliver the bikes, tour the facility and learn about the history and mission of the foundation.

Ms. DeFeyter showed how “silly” she could be yesterday by letting our American Heart Association fundraising champs spray her with silly string for the whole elementary school yesterday!

Ms. Maslick’s 1st grade had an awesome time learning about adjectives today! They had to identify objects in “mystery” bags by describing them to their peers using only adjectives.

We love having community helpers come to kindergarten! We enjoyed having Arizona Agriculture come and teach us about fruits vs. vegetables.

Copper Ridge Kindergarten hatched 16 chicks! We celebrated by hosting a “Chick Nursery” where students and families came to learn about life cycle of a chicken, what a chicken needs and much more! We can’t wait to see our chicks grow!

Dr. Ettie Zilber , a board member for the Phoenix Holocaust Association, is an international educator and author. This week she shared her family’s story of survival during The Holocaust to all our 8th graders.

Today, our fabulous fifth graders had their JA BizTown elections for Mayor and DJ. After tallying the votes 🗳️ our Mayor is Vincy and our DJ is Madison! We are so proud of them and can’t wait to watch them be leaders! We can’t wait to go to JA BizTown next month!
