Our main large @Raspberry_Pi events are going on hiatus while we have a re-think. Find out more, and how you can help: https://t.co/NyArA3xnNn #rjam@rjam_chat
@pimoroni have emailed to say the @Raspberry_Pi Zero 1W is no longer limited to 1 per customer. Is this the start of the end of stock shortages across the Pi W/3/4 range, or just a temporary reprieve?
Christmas Cracker Joke Badge, a labour-saving device based on the @pimoroni Badger 2040, a @Raspberry_Pi RP2040-based e-ink wearable. Handles small talk & ice-breaking duties that I find exhausting at office Christmas parties. https://t.co/f8pREz7RGf
What's a recommended HAT for long strings of WS2812 LEDs with the @Raspberry_Pi please? I know I can build my own (and have) with a PSU & level shifter, but I'm looking for something more robust & neater.
@iamhodgy@recantha@Raspberry_Pi Oooh, polarised filter to assist with shooting towards the sun on a webcam. Cheers @iamhodgy . That's the kind of fiddepee-off-of-eBay solution that appeals to my inner miser.
Recommendations for shooting into sun with @Raspberry_Pi webcam? Switched from v1 5Mpix to v2 8Mpix camera AND lower sun (winter), image is poor. Currently using raspistill parameters -ex antishake -ifx denoise -sh 25 -sa 12 -mm spot -ss 350 -co 12 https://t.co/2DFkCsrFvK
@recantha@Raspberry_Pi Currently using a ZeroView suckered to the study window. That worked great in spring/summer. I am beginning to suspect I may just have to get an IP55 outdoor case and run a cable to a better position, to avoid direct sun.
@recantha@Raspberry_Pi Yeah, until recently that shade was called "leaves" on the hedge. The sensible solution would be to move the bird table - the main subject of the camera - but WFH I do quite enjoy it being outside my study window. Damned seasons.
@Average_Maker Lots of offices are literally throwing away 1080p full HD monitors in the move to 2K/4K . Honestly give your local Facebook group or eBay a go. Not many white ones but there are a few silver. I've stopped accepting donations of 2nd-hand monitors, my garage is full of 'em.
@davejavupride@Raspberry_Pi@TheMagPi Significant improvement on my first attempt 6 years ago. Still recommend Commodore 64 #C64 fonts for compact readability on matrices with lower resolution!

What's a safe and non-ugly way to get USB power from a ceiling rose (UK mains ceiling light) without dismantling the ceiling/floorboards above please? Asking for a Pi Zero W webcam.
@AndyMFielder@recantha Yes, that's exactly the "Art Deco Styling" solution I was frightened of... :-) Extra points if you can find something from the 1920s with round pins.
