Eight years ago today, we lost Anthony Bourdain. His quote below on Washington vs. the District, from the conclusion of his 2009 "No Reservations" show about DC, resonates now more than ever. RIP

The 2nd vote on the budget does in fact remain on 6/23–because of the mandated vote within 70 days of introduction
The 2nd vote on the *Budget Support Act* (never scheduled for 6/23) is what will come on 6/30 or 7/14. The BSA vote isn’t on the same 70 day deadline as the budget
A budget timing note: A second vote on the budget was originally set for June 23, but Mendelson now says that's likely to slip to either June 30 or July 14.

🥳Even if I don’t, #DCStatehood is a right that every Washingtonian deserves! Or at least not Taxes without real representation!
But I think @realDonaldTrump should really consider making DC the 51st State…He believes in minimal Government intervention? Gives us the right to be a State!
