@AJNat7@dmeinvestor Or even really the Whittle optimisations it would seem, right? I keep trying to find holes in my investment thesis, but there just seems to be such a disconnect between current valuation and it's true value. And even more upside than is already on paper.
Great interview! Thanks for sharing your wisdom. But you mentioned that there are only four deposits of copper with 1 billion copper, good grades, close to surface and not yet owned by a major. I think a fifth should be included to that list for Oroco Resource Corp's (@OrocoCorp ) Santo Tomas Project that meets that criteria not even including it's Vainilla option. And it's on the state and federal governments economics plans! The world needs more large deposit copper mines!
Interesting how he mentioned only 4 deposits that are 1 billion ton, good grade, close to surface and not owned yet. Santo Tomas for @OrocoCorp fits all those criteria and that's not even including the Vainilla option. And Santo Tomas is included in both state and federal plans, which most Junior deposits never get. Overall, though very positive outlook for Juniors with ownership over large copper deposits. That's why I own shares of $ORRCF and continue to think copper prices will continue upwards.
@Stefan_Skippy@the10klist He has the credentials to be the right guy. Hopefully he comes in and can say the right things with confidence.
10x is also what I am hoping for from these levels and could even be more especially if copper continues with its macro move upward.
I think a lot of it has to do with 1) CEO transition and 2) waiting for more drill results. That's a bit of uncertainty for now. Charles Cryer needs to come in and project confidence and be the face of the asset ready to sell. The drill results will come with time, and will hopefully be positive. But most drilling until we see any Vainilla results is unlikely to drastically move the needle. But once the market sees a bit more clarity from personnel and enough results the stock should move meaningfully higher and quickly. At least that's my thought process at the moment as a shareholder.
@Amateur_Inv@BEWISETOKEN1 I think there is a lot of waiting and seeing how the new CEO steps into the role at @OrocoCorp. Executing the Phase 2 drilling is important. But investors need to hear from a leader with confidence about the value of the asset and the likelihood of sale or joint venture.
The VZLA kidnappings were in southern Sinaloa where most of the state cartel activity is. The Santo Tomas project is in the north basically on the state border. About 400 miles away from the tragic incident. Being part of Plan Sinaloa and Plan Mexico should be a big help with M&A and any additional resources needed to get the deal done. Obviously, still one of the risks, but not as big as it would seem by just hearing that the project is in the Sinaloa state.
@dmeinvestor@we_no_all Awesome. Let me know your thoughts on it once you do a little bit of reading up on it. I want a good US exposure to Copper that hasn't already run up in price. Risk is financing (huge and immediate) and execution. But could be a really solid compounder over the next 3-5 years.
@ProVnone@OrocoCorp Deferential and overly cautious would definitely be a mistake. Hope he speaks confidently about how phenomenal the project is, his abilities/history and plans on getting the project acquired in a short time frame. Set the tone!
@dmeinvestor@we_no_all I still think Oroco ( $OCO / $ORRCF ) is the biggest bang for the buck because of scale. But I've been doing a lot more research on Highland Copper ( $HI / $HDRSF ) and it seems like an interest close to production play in the USA (Michigan) that's fully permitted.
@dmeinvestor Solid article! Hopefully Oroco Resource Corp ( $OCO / $ORRCF ) is one of the winners that helps close the inevitable copper deficit. The world needs more Tier 1 assets like Santo Tomas.
@dmeinvestor Oroco had excellent and lucky timing with the new CEO announcement along with the rising copper prices. And hopefully Ian and Adam had good meetings at the 121 Investor Conference in London. Hopefully the momentum can continue with good Phase 2 results soon!
@Micro2Macr0 A good Junior Miner play is Oroco Resource Corp ( $OCO / $ORRCF ). Tier 1 asset in North America close to infrastructure and included in state and federal plans in Mexico. PFS drilling is being done. Study should be done early 2027 for a likely acquisition. Big upside (7-10+x)

@AJNat7@Micro2Macr0 Thanks again for sharing that article. You have some good, deep resources. Interesting commentary about Bahuerchi in that article. Hopefully things accelerate in permitting as that article's tone seems to imply. Could really be a huge next several years for Mexican mining.
@Amateur_Inv@Noam42216478 Things to look forward to in the short term are: 1) Initial phase 2 drilling results probably in the next month. 2) New CEO appointment, hopefully with strengths in M&A. 3) Continued rise in copper prices.
$OCO / $ORRCF
@AJNat7@Micro2Macr0 Thank you for sharing. More confirmation things politically have turned positive and will continue to do so for Mexican Mining. That's part of the investment thesis for me into Oroco as headwinds are now tailwinds and it is a good time to step in with the PFS on the horizon.
