J P Morgan does a bad deal in 2015.
A decade later, their lobbyists have found an audience in our Premier. So aware is he that Toronto residents do not want a dramatically expanded waterfront airport, one that would undo billions of dollars of investment in restoring fragile urban habitats in The Port Lands and erode the walkable, vibrant urban neighbourhoods we have spent decades building, that he has chosen to force through legislation to seize control and override local decision-making.
When is this jig up?
Now that we know, we know.
Charlie Angus on Alberta voter data leak: We cannot treat the theft of voter data as simply a privacy breach. It must be investigated through the larger lens of foreign threat.
“Doug Ford is an authoritarian: he’s acting like it, he’s making policies like it, he’s hiding information like it and it’s up to the people of Ontario to constantly raise our voices!”

Ontario spent $465M more on OSAP last year. 95% of that went to private career college students, docs show
"Doug Ford used the rising cost of OSAP as his excuse to gut student aid, slashing the grant portion from 85 per cent down to 25 per cent and leaving students to take on more debt," Liberal critic for colleges and universities Tyler Watt wrote in a statement.
"These numbers show that excuse doesn't hold up." #onpoli

YES!! THANKS Premier Kinew
Someone in Canada is asking the right questions and drawing the right conclusions.
AI centres are huge drains on resources and would be mostly owned by the US.
Lets put things into context:
-Closing OSC = 219 people out of work.
-Breaking The Beer Store contract = 3,000 jobs lost, $612 million contract penalty, $1.4B lost tax revenue
-Failed Green Space development losses $8.3 billion
-Ontario Place costs - $2.2 billion over budget.
Just so we are clear.
Pierre Poilievre voted against the national school lunch program.
Voted against $10 a day childcare.
Voted against dentalcare.
The leader of the opposition spent double than the Prime Minister of Canada did.
This should be investigated.
Attendance report card:
Data tracked by the Ontario NDP shows Premier Doug Ford skipped roughly one in three sessions of question period during the spring sitting and was only present for 7 full-length sessions.

Moments ago: NDP leader Marit Stiles demands an apology from Premier Doug Ford for “betraying the people of Ontario” during this 29-day session.
“He spent their money on a luxury private jet… sold out the Toronto waterfront… & changed laws to hide his cell phone records.”
No matter where you stand on Billy Bishop airport expansion, the apparent fact that lobbyists for secretive private capital have been granted far more influence over local decision-making than the voters of Toronto should scare the bejeezus out of you. https://t.co/DfalMkRJAG
Did you notice how many photo ops Doug is doing lately? How many food places he visits? Don’t see him doing photo ops at crumbling schools or hospital ERs though🤔.
Ford’s “golly geez folks” distractions aren’t fooling us one bit.
And sickening! Looking forward to discussing Ford’s treatment of healthcare in Ontario on Monday’s OShow (After I protest him today with thousands of equally angry Ontarians for his myriad of scandals, waste and failed policies) #FightFord
I wish the Ontario patient in agony in an ER chair (because there are no open beds) had the same lobbying capacity like the American bank JP Morgan worth $795 billion and who own Billy Bishop airport. Protect Ontario. Op-Ed by @richardwarnica

An AMERICAN investment bank is behind the lobbying effort to destroy Toronto Islands and waterfront.
Doug Ford is going against the overwhelming objections of Torontonians to enrich AMERICAN corporations and is using billions of our money to do so.
Sobering reporting how the Ontario Conservative government put public hospitals into deficit, resulting in cuts while directing millions to for-profit private facilities. Thank you @TinaYazdani
The Health Minister is either ignorant or lying - and neither option is acceptable.
She has personally overseen the expansion of private surgeries and private primary care in Ontario while claiming two-tier health care doesn't exist.
Instead of fixing the staffing crisis and investing in public health care, this government keeps pushing privatization and hoping nobody notices.
Ontarians aren't buying it. #onpoli
