@pluskayy all meta dependent. punk helmets are super cuttable if you dont mind a closer pult MU, bloodmoon can be put in for slop matchups, budew can go etc. zoroark just builds itself for the meta so you chop and change depending on the expected meta% or your locals read
@fooglerr all situational really. terminal should never come up since the only Mu that places damage counters on you board is pult (which is incredibly comfortable). it's mainly to go stamp or card + claw to get back into certain games against tougher matchups from experience
@St4rBurst04 tome helps clean your board up during the game, e.g. toming away your meowth for a munkidori/zorua etc. the only way youre ever attacking with absol is by toming it from the discard pile, otherwise the card would be literally anything else
@GabeEnglehart@redbullau i wouldn’t change any card from this list in particular. moving forward however, i do think the mochi 1-1 darm list might be more well positioned. i only played this version because i just tried to make a meta call that fortunately paid off with the majority of my matchups
@Two_Switch@redbullau grass decks are just “fine” hydrapple and fleed are tricky whilst grass slop is doable if you force them onto 1 prize then watchtower + stamp to give them less chance of hitting you with briar. if you can also initiate the 2-2-2 race then it’s comfortable
@NerinSerene@redbullau all of my losses/ties darm would’ve been very helpful but in all my wins it would’ve felt like i’m playing a 57/58 card deck. if you’re comfortable taking those losses then i think it’s good. if you’re not playing pult you have to choose what decks youre comfortable losing to imo
@fooglerr@redbullau i just wanted the list to be as streamlined as possible to beat the matchups im meant to be winning. lop and dark are very good but it woild only hurt the consistency overall. i also just took the risk knowing if i hit those bad matchups then my run would’ve been a lot different
2nd place at Melbourne Regionals! Shoutout @Flippy_Fan for embracing the crushing hammers by flipping a coin to decide to play the same 60 and @pkmnMattyB for the fire decklist photo! Also screw Judge...
@LewisThomasHS@redbullau it also has a lot of niche use cases that i figured out throughout the tournament. highkey i tested 0 games with helmet and played it because it looked funny
@LewisThomasHS@redbullau Helmet over mochi just puts less strain on lech needing to be benched most games. making it awkward for your opponent to budew into helmet is also a bonus. if a dragapult punches into it then you can just find munki move 30 for ko instead of always needing black belt
