The Behavioral Health Commission (BHC) is looking at ways to make crisis intervention services more effective and cost efficient, while ensuring that folks who need these services still have easy access. Setting a regulatory framework or provider licensure requirements may help. But, we need to be careful that the proposed redesign does not result in unintended consequences.
