Croydon Health Services NHS Trust runs Croydon University Hospital, Purley War Memorial Hospital & many community services at home, schools & health clinics.
Community Diagnostic Centres are cutting waiting lists, giving patients the care they need, when they need it.
@WesStreeting visited New Addington CDC @croydonhealth where they're offering tests, checks and scans in the local community.

I was pleased to visit the new New Addington Community Health and Diagnostic Centre with Civic Mayor Richard Chaterjee and Cabinet member Cllr Yvette Hopley and see first-hand how this state-of-the-art facility is improving access to vital health services across our borough.
Built through strong partnership working between the Council, the @croydonhealth and the New Addington community, the centre sits on former Council land sold as part of our asset sales programme to help stabilise Croydon’s historic debt, meaning this scheme benefits residents on multiple levels.
Following a soft launch in October, the centre is now fully open, offering CT scans, X-rays, ultrasound, ECGs, blood pressure monitoring and GP services on site. Blood tests are already available through GPs, with full phlebotomy services from May.
By providing diagnostics locally, residents are being seen more quickly for scans and tests, reducing waiting times and easing pressure on Croydon University Hospital.
This is a strong example of how we are restoring pride in Croydon by improving everyday services and reducing health inequalities.
Strike action is taking place from today until 7am on Wednesday 19 November.
