@markgoodw_in Mark, if you remember, what is the source of this statement? Having been around those days, it's possible w/how hash exploded upwards, but I don't have anything in my archives pointing to this. Think a source on this would possibly unlock a lot of history.
@mobble1800@beaniemaxi I'll bite. I can't DM you though without premium, but we already found the deterministic proof of who the 80k coins likely belongs to so interested in the story. Check my TL, I'm from the old days, just on a ghost acct here. https://t.co/ihveciXFb3
@TheBlock__ This was a very early miner mining 50 BTC reward blocks. Very likely they mined 10x more than what was moved today after 14 years.

@LaurentMT@MattAhlborg@OXTObserver As I explained to Ergo, tracking the clusters is absolutely a good idea. However, unlikely to be real-time as there are APs/LPs/execution desks that are hedging the exposure real-time/intraday using borrowed BTC & you'll most likely see market close settlement movement.
@LaurentMT Since the entity tag is missing the sourcing, the sourcing comes from a tag I added for one of the wallets. PDF still loads. Seems in active since Jan 2021.
@AviFelman Even crazier - when I wrote this I only focused on a few of the ponzi mechanics, but they also were the first exchange with the "Innovation Zone" of utter garbage tokens, but they would list basically anything. The Huobi alumni were kings at this.

@SuZhupercycle Thanks for highlighting my tweet, but make sure to credit to the @oxt_btc team for creating free, publicly accessible tools so that even led to the initial 2019 discoveries with PlusToken and all the work they have done since then. I'm more an observer on this issue.
@mikeyrobertmong They are never getting that money back. Nor are they getting the money back from the HSBC seizures in the UK. That money is as good as gone, the govt has every intention of never returning it under the guise of proceeds from illicit activities.
When Individual X forfeited 69k BTC, the US govt did a test tx of 1BTC to a bech32 address before sending the rest.
Last night contrary to prior behavior, the 94k BTC Bitfinex hacked funds were combined into a single bech32 address after a 1 BTC test tx. Is that you USG?
Reminder $LEO whitepaper states 80% of recovered hack funds used to buyback LEO over 18 months. IANAL, but *if* the USG controls these coins now, it might be a long, legal process to regain ownership. However, if they do, I expect LEO chart to look exactly like it does right now.
@mkomaransky Did the US government ever respond to your FOIL requests for pricing information on the 1st Silk Road auction? I was reminded of your Chat with Traders podcast as it seems the US govt may have possibly recovered the BFX hacked funds. Thanks Mike.
