Now that the @megaeth ICO is over and we’re all waiting for the results, I wanted to share a quick thought - especially for anyone into web3 gaming.
Let’s be real, crypto gaming is in a pretty rough spot right now. I’ve invested in a bunch of projects and played plenty of them, and it’s honestly tough to find something that’s actually fun and also has an economy that works. It’s a hard balance to pull off.
Lately I’ve been leaning more toward card games as the type of thing that could bring some new energy to the space. They’re simple enough to understand, but still deep and competitive - and they make sense for on-chain economies.
One game I’ve been enjoying lately is @Showdown_TCG . It’s kind of like Texas Hold’em, but with Action Cards that totally change the dynamics and add another layer of strategy. It’s already fun to play, but what’s even cooler is where it’s headed - the team plans to make the Action Cards into NFTs, and with how fast MegaETH is, maybe one day all the moves could even happen fully on-chain.
