hey everyone — i own an EP–40 Riddim ’n’ Ting, and for a while i wanted a DAW built specifically around this little machine.

so i started building one.

GWAAN DAW is a browser-based multitrack recording app with direct EP–40 integration.

just connect your EP–40 via USB-C and open the app in Chrome or Edge.

no installation. no drivers. no complicated setup.

everything works directly in the browser.

you can:

— record the EP–40 stereo output over USB
— use either the DAW or EP–40 as the MIDI clock master
— sync playback and recording
— create looped tracks with quantization
— move, duplicate, mute and solo clips
— save projects and export the final mix as WAV

the project is still evolving, and it is completely open source.

EP–40 owners, musicians, developers, testers and curious button-pushers are all welcome.

try it, break it, open an issue, fork it or contribute.
