Yes its a "special circumstance"- so I had previously applied through a different law firm. It was legit, registered and licensed law firm, nothing sketchy. I wanted to ensure the application was done correctly, so I chose to go through a law firm that specializes in immigration. After I applied, I kept reaching out for updates, they told me nothing new and would contact me if anything changed, but of course i kept emailing and calling every so often to check in. And then suddenly my emails and calls weren't being returned. I got concerned. So I got in touch with another law firm that specializes in immigration. They found out that the law firm I originally went through no longer existed and shut down. They contacted the IRCC for me to follow up with the status of my first application, the IRCC said they had nothing on file under my name, no application was delivered to them. Had I known it would unfold like this, I would've just done it myself, despite my fear of doing it incorrectly. But I thought I was in good hands. So its been a whole mess. We are also looking in to a potential lawsuit as well.

I've hit a few bumps in the road in regards to my Permanent Residency Application & I'm in a situation where I need some help paying for the last half of my legal fees in order to submit my complete permanent residency application. The sooner I get this paid for, the faster I can finally apply & get my life back on track. For transparency reasons, I have shown the invoice of the amount from my lawyer to my mods & closest friends in the community who can verify the amount & the purpose of the funds raised.
