Hyderabad City Police Commissioner inaugurated the CMITRA Virtual Helpdesk, a citizen-friendly initiative exclusively for cybercrime offences, aimed at making cybercrime reporting simple, accessible, and hassle-free for the public.
Through CMITRA, cybercrime victims can submit their complaints via post, courier, or by dropping them in the drop box located at the Cyber Crime Police Station, Basheerbagh, Hyderabad. Upon receiving the complaint, a CMITRA officer prepares the complaint draft and shares it with the victim through WhatsApp for confirmation and signature. After the signed complaint is received, an FIR is registered accordingly.
This victim-centric process ensures ease of access, transparency, and timely support, especially for those unable to visit the police station in person, reflecting Hyderabad Police’s commitment to digital safety and people-first policing.
