This doesn’t seem to be getting enough attention. The Silicon Valley social contract forced on the public by Obama and then Trump and then Biden (minus Lina Khan) and now Trump was straight forward: We will let these bros become the richest people in human history and in exchange they will develop a tech industry that makes the U.S. dominant for a century.
They did the first part, then built monopolies to try to keep out competition rather than continue to innovate at a top level, and then got out-competed by Chinese companies in both AI and social media. They are the losers we always thought they were — and now so are we.
Remember: Question the hype. Think independently. Verify facts. Don't get swept up in mass reactions without understanding the systems at play. The world's a stage, but you don't have to follow the script.
@blkwomenread Pay is really gonna depend on industry, company type and how the pay (local market rate vs top of the market), but those roles are a nice in-between technical and non-technical. It's my exit plan when I'm tired of engineering.
@blkwomenread Right there with you. I've finally started to figure out where I want to be in the next 5yrs both personally and professionally. Staying on the tactical side of the house probably won't be the play.
@ki_twyce_ FarCry 5 is an amazing game. Never played 3 but I heard good things. I enjoyed the story, side quests, and just exploring the fast map. It's definitely one of my favorites, especially because as I'm taking out enemies I can stop and fish and that's such a vibe lol
@blkwomenread I'm a sucker for their cafe flavor. I substitute coffee creamer with it and it's so good! Great way to get protein first thing in the morning without really thinking about it.
If you're a Notion user, I created a brag doc template to help others track professional milestones and achievements. Just duplicate the template and enjoy!

@iicarly_codes@wgu I've had a great experience at WGU so far! The security degree is certification heavy, but most of the certs will look great on any resume. I honestly would recommend WGU to most people.
