Congratulations to all the other finalists on this amazing recognition 👏

Could your chatbot be sharing more than you think?
AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants are appearing on more websites than ever before. Whether they are answering customer questions, helping users find information or supporting online services, these tools are becoming part of everyday digital experiences.
For many organisations, introducing AI has been a relatively straightforward project. Choose a platform, connect it to your website, upload your knowledge base and publish.
But while AI can improve customer experience, it can also introduce new security risks that traditional website testing may not identify.
To help, we've expanded our cyber security testing services to help organisations identify vulnerabilities introduced by AI-powered chatbots and other AI functionality integrated into websites and web applications.
Our new AI and Web Application Security Assessment will look at areas including prompt injection, sensitive information disclosure, access controls, guardrails and the systems and data sources connected to an AI application. All with the aim of finding possible weaknesses before attackers do.

Cyber resilience is a leadership responsibility. If you had 1 minute with your board or senior leadership team to discuss cyber, what would you say?
We've pulled together some key questions every organisation should be asking before a cyber incident happens. From knowing your critical assets to understanding who makes decisions under pressure, good preparation can make all the difference under pressure.
Take a minute to flick through the information and ask yourself:
🔵 Would your organisation know what to do in the first hour of an incident?
🔵 Have you tested your incident response plan?
🔵 Do you know who to call, to get support?
🔵 Do you regularly train your team to spot potential incidents?
Preparation starts well before an incident.
If you're looking to strengthen your organisation's incident response readiness, our National Incident Response Helpline is here to provide free, confidential support to organisations across Scotland. Our Incident Response Cadre of technical, legal and communication organisations are on hand to help you navigate your next steps to recovery.

Ai is both a sword and a shield when it comes to cyber security.
Nearly every board and senior leadership meeting is talking about Ai - far fewer have a clear plan for managing the risks. It can improve productivity, support decision-making and strengthen cyber defences. It can also be used to create highly convincing scams, automate attacks and amplify existing threats.
Understanding both sides of the equation is becoming essential. As Ai adoption accelerates, organisations face growing pressure to understand:
🔵 How Ai can support business objectives.
🔵 Where new cyber risks emerge.
🔵 What good governance looks like.
🔵 How to make informed decisions.
That's why we're hosting Sword and the Shield: Ai and Cyber Security, a seminar that will provide practical guidance for senior leaders navigating the challenges that Ai brings.

We're delighted to welcome @ArnoldClark as one of our See It Be It supporters.
Thanks to their generosity, another school will be joining us this October to experience a day of inspiring speakers, interactive activities and conversations with women working across cyber security.
It's a simple idea with a lasting impact; helping young women see careers they may never have considered before.
If your organisation would like to sponsor a school's travel and help widen access to opportunities like this, we'd love to have a conversation.
Together we can help ensure that location in Scotland or cost isn't what determines who is inspired to start a career in cyber security.

Threat intelligence is often associated with large organisations and dedicated cyber security teams with large budgets, but it doesn’t have to be.
One of the biggest messages from our Cyber Byte last week on Threat Intelligence and How to Act on it In-House, was that good threat intelligence isn’t about collecting more information, it’s about identifying the information that’s relevant to your organisation and using it to make better decisions.
Whether you’re responsible for IT, cyber security, risk or business operations, there are practical steps every organisation can take to improve their cyber culture. You can find a blog that includes the top tips and resources shared during the discussion on our website here - https://t.co/4AyRlb6bTa
Finally, our grateful thanks to our speakers Allena of @weirgroup, Neil from Network ROI, plus our compere Willie Fairhurst for speaking on our session.
A quick reminder - a free weekly threat intelligence bulletin is shared with our members, and we're currently running a special membership offer. Find out more about our membership and join our community here - https://t.co/cNSMiBrZvA
Lastly, our next Cyber Byte webinar will look at Deepfakes, Synthetic Media and Ai, which will take place on 25th August. Register your space today here - https://t.co/QyHA33D5UH
