I recently had the honor to discuss with Amit Sharma my career experiences, designing, tuning and implementing large database systems processing tens of billions of transactions every day. We discussed how to design tune and process on different #mainframe, #AIX, #UNIX platforms using #Db2 for its #security scalability and interoperability throughout a variety of finance, healthcare and government enterprise solutions.

We also discussed how my career choices got me to the point to design and tune some of these behemoth systems. We discussed my volunteering for #IDUGDB2, my 35 years of performance presentations and blog entries and becoming an IBM Gold Consultant and lifetime #IBMChampion.
