One Ward Every Day Miyapur | Community Interaction

As part of the One Ward Every Day programme, the Commissioner, CMC, along with Hon’ble MLA Sri Arekapudi Gandhi, Zonal Commissioner–Serilingampally Zone, Deputy Commissioner–Miyapur Circle and concerned officials, interacted with RWAs and residents of Miyapur Ward to review local civic issues.

Key issues discussed included roads and drainage, storm-water management, streetlights, traffic safety, waste management, parks, mosquito control, encroachment removal, drinking water and lake rejuvenation.

Residents also raised concerns related to waterlogging, nala maintenance, road restoration after pipeline works, parking and traffic movement, street vendors and protection of parks/open spaces.

The Commissioner directed officials to adhere to timelines, coordinate with the concerned sections and expedite works wherever possible for faster improvements on ground.

🚧 Road Maintenance & Pothole Restoration Works – Serilingampally Zone

Comprehensive road maintenance works are being undertaken at various locations across Serilingampally Zone, CMC, covering pothole repairs, BT patch works, CC patch works, and recarpeting of road stretches.

Potholes are being restored using Wet Mix Shalmac (Cold Mix) bags, with a Mini Tandem Vibratory Roller being deployed to ensure proper compaction, a smooth finish, and durable restoration.

These works are aimed at improving road quality, driving comfort and overall road safety, ensuring better and safer connectivity for citizens across the Zone.

As part of routine food safety inspections across Cyberabad, CMC Food Safety teams inspected Mandi King – Gachibowli Branch.

✅ Good Practices
• Regular pest control carried out with no visible pest infestation during inspection
• Used cooking oil disposed of through an authorized third-party vendor, preventing its reuse in the food chain

⚠️ Key Observations
• Raw and cooked non-vegetarian food stored together without proper covering, posing a risk of cross-contamination
• Greasy and unclean exhaust system
• Inadequate kitchen workspace, with raw material handling, cutting, and cooking carried out in the same area, resulting in wet and unhygienic floor conditions
• Cooking oil found excessively reused for four days, as confirmed by the food handler; discarded on the spot
• Improper utensil washing area with no hot water sanitisation
• Rusted doors and heavy fly infestation observed

🛠️ Action Taken
• Reused cooking oil discarded immediately.
• Improvement Notice recommended and corrective measures instructed.

Pilot Demonstration of Mechanized Road Sweeping Technologies

The Commissioner, Cyberabad Municipal Corporation, along with the Additional Commissioner (Sanitation), Zonal Commissioner, Kukatpally, Deputy Commissioner, Madhapur, inspected a live demonstration of advanced mechanized road sweeping equipment at Parvath Nagar.

The demonstration showcased:

Self-Propelled Sweeping Machine – For efficient sweeping of internal roads and by-lanes.

Truck-Mounted Vacuum Cum Sweeping Machine – For mechanized sweeping and vacuum collection of dust and waste on major roads.

Waste Collection Vehicle – For lifting and transportation of the collected waste.

As part of the pilot initiative, mechanized sweeping operations are being carried out at two selected locations to assess the performance and effectiveness of the equipment under field conditions.

The pilot will help evaluate the suitability of these technologies for enhancing road cleanliness and strengthening sanitation services across Cyberabad.
