DEPEND is research project lead by @KCarr20 exploring preferences for dental care in England from public, patient and practitioner perspectives. Funded by NIHR
This is open to people from general dental practices, private and NHS, and people who work in community dental services. If you're not sure, or have questions please DM!
We are looking to interview dental professionals about the oral healthcare system and their thoughts on the future of dentistry in England! We can pay you for your time. If you'd like to take part, please complete the form https://t.co/DL2dudcZO3
It's been a really exciting few weeks for the project, a big thanks to everyone who retweeted! Absolutely overwhelmed by the response and now really looking forward to conducting some interviews
We are looking to interview members of the public about their experiences and thoughts on dentistry in England! If this is something you are interested in, please fill out the form and one of the project team will be in touch https://t.co/erkfrvetXC
A quick update - I had my first PPI session this morning and it was fantastic to speak to a group of people enthusiastic about the project and being involved!
@ChristinaWorle Thank you! I had a look at your bio and if you have a chance it would be great to chat to you at some point about your work. Really keen on making sure vulnerable communities are properly represented (making dental care accessible to everyone!)
@toothfairyblog@KCarr20 This is certainly something I’ve been thinking about because of course the dental system needs to work for young people too! At the moment, I wouldn’t be able to include a strong CYP perspective (and do it justice!) but it’s something I would like to work on in the future
The first step is to get out and start interviewing some people about their views! Recruitment should go live soon 🤞 so watch this space for details about how to get involved
This is a big task! It's a whole PhD project! Led by @KCarr20 and funded by @NIHRresearch. The goal is to determine what's important to those who deliver dental care, those who receive it and those who help pay for it through tax and make recommendations to improve NHS dentistry
