Dairy Farmers of Canada: national voice of Canadian dairy farmers. Les Producteurs laitiers du Canada, fiers de servir les producteurs de lait ! đ„đšđŠ
Thank you to the Honourable Heath MacDonald for taking the time to join #DFCagm2026 to offer remarks to dairy farmers and industry representatives from across the country.
"We have to keep investing in innovation, we have to keep investing in our smaller processors as well and our producers at every level. If we continue to build on what we have today and what you have done over generations of farming, then we're going to be successful in Canada."
Canadian dairy farmers are proud to play an essential role in feeding communities, strengthening rural economies and supporting Canadaâs food system.
The more than 9,000 dairy farms from coast to coast to coast are a cornerstone of Canada's economy and our rural communities.

We appreciate you taking the time to connect with dairy farmers and industry representatives from across Canada.
#DFCagm2026 is officially underway in Moncton. In his opening address, DFC President David Wiens reflected on the shared pursuit of progress that unites Canadian dairy farmers and highlighted several priorities shaping the years ahead.
He spoke about the importance of defending supply management, protecting Canadaâs food security and food sovereignty, navigating ongoing trade uncertainty and responding collectively to evolving consumer needs.
âBy continuing to innovate, by earning the trust of Canadians every day, and by standing united in defence of our sector, we will ensure Canadian dairy remains a cornerstone of our country's food sovereignty and food security. That is a future worth working toward, and I know we'll build it together.â
