Ensuring the wellbeing of drivers during long convoy operations, Stallion Spearheads, under the aegis of #GajrajCorps, organised a one-day outdoor First Aid Workshop in coordination with MH, Missamari.
The workshop saw active participation from drivers of Air Force Station, Missamari, promoting the exchange of best driving practices and strengthening inter-service synergy.
The programme covered health and hygiene during convoys, management of heat- and cold-related illnesses, high-altitude precautions, accident response, casualty evacuation, snake and insect bite management, first-aid kit preparation and realistic emergency response drills.
Convoy ड्यूटी के दौरान चालकों के स्वास्थ्य और सुरक्षा को ध्यान में रखते हुए, Stallion Spearheads, #GajrajCorps के तत्वावधान में, MH, Missamari के सहयोग से एक दिवसीय outdoor First Aid Workshop का आयोजन किया गया।
इस कार्यशाला में Air Force Station, Missamari के चालकों ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया। इस दौरान बेहतर ड्राइविंग तरीकों का आदान-प्रदान हुआ और अंतर-सेवा समन्वय को और मजबूत किया गया।
कार्यक्रम में काफिले के दौरान स्वास्थ्य एवं स्वच्छता, गर्मी और ठंड से होने वाली समस्याओं का प्रबंधन, ऊँचाई वाले क्षेत्रों में सावधानियाँ, सड़क दुर्घटना के समय त्वरित प्रतिक्रिया, घायलों की सुरक्षित निकासी, साँप और कीड़ों के काटने पर प्राथमिक उपचार, फर्स्ट-एड किट की तैयारी तथा वास्तविक आपातकालीन परिस्थितियों में प्रतिक्रिया का व्यावहारिक प्रशिक्षण दिया गया।

Healing Hearts in the Himalayas : Medical Camp at Parkachik 🇮🇳
On 12 Jul 2026, as part of the 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas Commemorations, the Indian Army, in collaboration with CHC Parkachik, organised a Medical Camp at Parkachik for residents of the remote villages of Panikhar, Parkachik, Tangol, Achamboo, Khayol, Khaos and Choskore in Kargil District.
Medical Officers of the Indian Army, along with specialists from CHC Parkachik and CHC Panikhar, provided comprehensive healthcare services to the local population. A total of 325 beneficiaries received medical consultations, reaffirming the enduring bond between the Indian Army and the people of Ladakh through compassionate healthcare and community outreach.

The Yodha Rakshak Combat Casualty Care (YRCCC) module equipped over 250 troops deployed in the forward areas of Pithoragarh with critical battlefield lifesaving skills through intensive hands-on training integrated with sub-unit battle drills and realistic combat scenarios. Conducted by 161 #MilitaryHospital and the Field Hospital under the guidance of MG(Med), Uttar Bharat Area, the initiative reinforces the principle that every soldier is a potential lifesaver, enhancing battlefield survivability, operational readiness, and the ability to save lives during the golden hour.

Surg VAdm Arti Sarin, #DGAFMS, reviewed the Commissioning Parade of the graduating cadets of #AFMC at Capt Devashish Sharma, KC Ground on 10 Jul 2026. A total of 144 cadets successfully passed out, of whom 141 were commissioned into the Armed Forces Medical Services. The newly commissioned officers comprise 112 for the Army, 17 for the Indian Air Force and 12 for the Indian Navy, including four cadets from Friendly Foreign Countries. Addressing the newly commissioned officers, the #DGAFMS urged them to uphold the highest standards of professional excellence, military ethos, compassion and selfless service in the care of the Nation’s soldiers, sailors, air warriors and veterans. Specialists at Army Institute of Cardio-Thoracic Sciences (#AICTS), #Pune successfully performed corrective heart surgery on a newborn with Truncus Arteriosus, a rare birth defect where one large blood vessel comes from the heart instead of two.
Beyond the call of duty. While travelling to an unit in Uttarakhand, Army Major General Dr Vinod Kumar Patra brought back a road accident victim to life who was lying on bitumen with no pulse or breath. His timely CPR revived the motorcyclist. Army ambulance evacuated the victim.
