Some very, very exciting news. Recognising two absolutely brilliantly talented cast members! But absolutely everyone who worked on this show also made a contribution to this nomination. Well done and thank you Team TRW!! ❤️
• The greatest win ever of any British club
• The greatest accomplishment in the history of Super League
• The best Super League team of all time
Immortality solidified, greatness undenied. St Helens, the best we've seen.
3. Welsby.Poor performance & froze to a degree.Very little experience of that level of pressure to fall back on & he must take it on the chin. However, that’s a mirror image of Gary Connolly at Wembley 1989 & he went on to be world beater. Learn from it Jack and all will be fine👍
My views on Eng RL ‘spine’ FWIW, as that’s where it was won & lost IMO.
1. Tomkins & the hooker: flat track bullies for an effective Wigan team 12 -15 years ago.Done nothing since.Vastly overrated for years.
2. Williams.Cannot be faulted, seeing as very little support around him.
@glynny15 …months back when ref did Aus for time wasting in last minute was in my mind when turned out ball was only in play for 13 mins. Anyway, whatever. And if I could have chosen anyone to have my first ever “Twitter spat” with I would have chosen you xx😆😆
Taken the words out of my mouth. Last Bledisloe Cup match ball was in play for just 15 minutes. So as a player, fan and appreciator of both codes, tonight confirms that RL played properly is far superior to RU.
@glynny15 Don’t be daft with the apologies son (…and I was a few beers in…)!!Your point is a perfectly valid one. The need to justify RL by reference to RU suggests an RL insecurity, which is basically the point you are making. I suppose that NZ win in the last minute v Aus a few……
@glynny15 .....(2) RL is inferior code.Meanwhile the other 10% (like us) see qualities of both. So next time i’m asked to compare, after watching women & men’s RL of last 10 days, & listening to mates who paid £140 to watch EngvArg at HQ last week,I’d say RL is better....in my opinion.
@glynny15 Because I’m often asked ‘which one is better?’ as someone who has an appreciation of, and who has played and supported, both codes. Rather than it being “strange”, the almost subconscious need to compare is probably due to 90% of folk who think (1) rugby is rugby union and...
@Salfords_Finest @johnlew13 Spot on. Great to see ‘proper’ scrum half:pass off both hands, kick long/short/goals, willing to take a risk as opposed to very rigid and robotic modern day ‘half’. Probably wouldn’t be the difference in a WC final against Australia….but a proper rugby player and good on him.
@stesmudge@mike96hughes Yes 1997 was truly a great trip but if I recall correctly we wuz robbed not battered. But then again I can’t recall very much about it to be honest 😁
@LastDaysKR Whatsupp wi yer? St James’ Park show was well spectacular. Reminded me of my evening at Sydney Harbour Bridge/Opera House New Years Eve 1999.
If you ever wondered what the idiocy of mankind/womankind looks like, take the 10.30pm Saturday train from Leeds to Sheffield via Moorthorpe while stone cold sober. Group of 15 middle aged women singing ‘Rockin all over the World’ amongst other utterly incredible scenes 😳
@RedVeeDotNet Yes it is our biggest day because it’s the one in front of us now. Everything else is just speculation and distraction. Live in the present and let’s get today’s job done. #COYS
After an entertaining few days of tabloid hyperbole and lunacy about ineptitude, corruption, brown envelopes, excessive force, unnatural angles, exploitation of small print and Wilf George, let’s cut to the chase: we love rugby league…but we love @Saints1890 more. #COYS
