"My career has been birthed and nurtured in America.
I was born in Lewisham hospital, my family's from Jamaica and my mom was part of the Windrush generation. I am British to that extent, that is my reality.
But I thank God I came to America" ~ Mr Delroy Lindo ☝🏿📍
This conversation between between Usher and Keke Palmer was interesting to watch. This reminds of how people critic Beyoncé’s music. They said all that needs to be said.
Went to watch Pig Heart Boy at Unicorn Theatre 2 weekends ago and it was SO good!!
The set design, lighting, storytelling, sound engineering, the physical theatre and acting were all incredible and it was so much fun!
Def recommend- especially for Black children! 10/10!!
Went to see Pig Heart Boy at the Unicorn Theatre last night. Wow! 😃 It was WONDERFUL - and a little strange - to see my story so brilliant adapted (by @winsome_pinnock), directed by @TristanFAiduenu and acted. A terrific evening. Feeling blessed. 😊

This is Afrobeats artiste Seyi Sodimu during the #Grammy weekend in Los Angeles in the year 2004, talking about how his evergreen song Love Me Jeje was rejected by major labels in America because he sounded “African”…
Who knew that 20yrs later, a song by another Nigerian artiste Tems, titled Love Me Jeje (inspired by Seyi’s song) would come back to that same Los Angeles and WIN a Grammy! 😊
Congrats to both @temsbaby and @seyimusic 🙌🏾🙌🏾 Nigeria is proud of you 🇳🇬🇳🇬

This video recap of Spicemas 2024 in Grenada makes me very emotional. Black people are so powerful beyond measure. The Caribbean will always be a Cultural Capital of the world! 🖤

👑 #TheHotWingKing@NationalTheatre is easily one of my top picks this year
Quickest standing ovation I’ve seen!!
Beautiful set, compelling performances and a moving script which is beautifully warm, heart-wringing, and totally equipped to punch you in the gut
Got a chance to catch, ‘Is Dat U Yh?’ @BrxHouseTheatre. Fantastic performance from the whole cast @ToniLay & Co. Beautifully written by @DKFash platforming black girl hood and growing up in London in the early 2000s.
Full of nostalgia, fun & upbeat
Well done @Initiativedkf 👏
